Rajasthan Film Policy to Be Simplified: Deputy CM Diya Kumari Announces Launch at IIFA 25 to Boost Tourism

 

 

Jaipur – The Rajasthan government is working towards making its tourism and film tourism policies more streamlined and effective to enhance the state’s global appeal. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, following a meeting at the Tourism Bhawan, stated that the Rajasthan Tourism Policy and Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy are being finalized to provide international recognition to the state’s tourism sector and encourage film productions.

She further announced that the IIFA 25 Awards Ceremony, scheduled to be held in Jaipur on March 8-9, will serve as the platform for the official launch of the new Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy. This move is expected to significantly boost Rajasthan’s presence in the global tourism and film industry.

Film-Friendly Policies & Simplification

During the meeting, attended by Tourism Department Secretary Ravi Jain and Tourism Commissioner Vijay Pal Singh, various key aspects of the policies were discussed. Deputy CM Diya Kumari instructed officials to simplify the policies, making Rajasthan a more attractive and accessible destination for filmmakers.

She emphasized that Rajasthan’s branding as a premier tourism destination should be strengthened to secure its position on the global tourism map.

Innovations & Digital Initiatives in Tourism Policy

Diya Kumari also stressed the importance of segment-wise innovations in the tourism policy to maximize contributions from stakeholders and industry players. She directed officials to integrate digital initiatives into the policy, ensuring Rajasthan’s tourism sector leverages modern technology for enhanced global promotion.

Preparations in Full Swing for IIFA 25

As part of the IIFA 25 preparations, multiple shoots are already underway at various iconic locations across Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy, set to be launched during the event, will focus on creating a filmmaker-friendly ecosystem that encourages domestic and international productions in the state.

According to Deputy CM Kumari, the new policy will be simple, practical, and highly beneficial for filmmakers, ensuring Rajasthan remains a preferred shooting destination. The implementation of these policies is expected to propel Rajasthan’s tourism industry to new heights, generate employment opportunities for locals, and strengthen the state’s economy, positioning it as a leading global tourism hub.
