Jaipur: In a significant step towards promoting democratic values and voter awareness among young citizens, the State Election Department unveiled key aspects of its EC 2.0 initiative during a conference attended by students, academicians, and public representatives.
Addressing the gathering, State Election Department Director Ashish Goyal emphasized the importance of youth participation in strengthening democracy. Under the proposed framework, selected students will have the opportunity to become active members of these committees and contribute to voter awareness campaigns, democratic engagement activities, debates, mock elections, and civic outreach programs. Outstanding student volunteers and institutions demonstrating exceptional commitment to electoral literacy will also be recognized and awarded for their contributions.
The initiative is expected to create a strong network of informed youth leaders while fostering democratic values and active citizenship among the younger generation.
